Description

Masechet Ktuvot 34b: the thief stole איסורי הנאה, e.g. עבודה זרה or שור הנסקל, does he pay 4 and 5 times its value if he slaughters this animal which is virtually worthless? It would appear that he is not stealing property of monetary value; hence, he should be exempt. However, we will introduce two new Halachik principles: One, הרי שלך לפניך; and Two, דבר הגורם לממון.
