What כוונה should one have when fulfilling the Mitzva of סיפור יצי"מ? The Sefer דרך פיקודיך finds the answer in the verse in שמות (י, ב): וּלְמַעַן תְּסַפֵּר בְּאָזְנֵי בִנְךָ וּבֶן בִּנְךָ אֵת אֲשֶׁר הִתְעַלַּלְתִּי בְּמִצְרַיִם וְאֶת אֹתֹתַי אֲשֶׁר שַׂמְתִּי בָם וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי אֲנִי יְקֹוָק The Netziv writes that the goal of למען תספר is indicated by a verse in (יהושע (ד, כד: לְמַעַן דַּעַת כָּל עַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ אֶת יַד יְקֹוָק כִּי חֲזָקָה הִיא לְמַעַן יְרָאתֶם אֶת יְקֹוָק אֱלֹהֵיכֶם כָּל הַיָּמִים. We will try to connect this with another statement of the Netziv on שמות יג, ח and connect this to the גרא. We will study Rashi re: the mitzva of תשביתו and when is שריפה required. We'll begin discussing feeding an animal that is ownerless.
