Masechet Pesachim 4b: Do we trust those who generally lack credibility regarding בדיקת חמץ, and if so, why? We will analyze two important concepts. One, the authority of the Rabanan to rely on the testimony of those who lack נאמנות. Two, defining ביטול - how does it operate? On the last point we will begin our study of the great debate between Rashi & Tos' on the question: is ביטול a new concept, unique to Chometz, called השבתה בלב? Or is it the old well-trodden Halacha of הפקר?
