Description

Providing for a holy Torah scholar, Malki Tzedek's presentation of wine to Avram caused Avram no harm. But as an expression of the holy bond to be forged between Am Yisrael and Hakadosh Baruch Hu, it was premature. Hence the pain of exile was just then made known to Avram.
