Masechet Zevachim 114a-b: two fundamentally different sources for the פטור חוץ in the cases of קרבנות פסולים. Was the פסול effective before the הקדשה; in such a case since the korban was never ראוי להקרבה and the פטור can be derived from the verse ואל פתח אוהל מועד לא הביאו. Or was the פסול effectuated after the הקדשה; in such a case we need a different verse, namely, להקריב קרבן לה'. We will study the view of R' Shimon re: מחוסר זמן which he slaughtered outside the Azarah, does he receive Malkos for violating a לאו even though at this moment the Korban is not ראוי להקרבה?
