For our shiur today on Masechet Shabbat 124b we will begin the new Mishna and the sugya which offers two interpretations of the debate between the Rabanan & Rebby Yehuda regarding שברי כלים. Did the utensil break before Shabbat and lose its שם כלי? Or on Shabbat and - due to its new function - become נולד and Muktza? We will begin with the Rav's analogy to the status of כלים regarding קבלת טומאה and the difference between earthenware and other utensils.
