For our Derech Halimud shiur, we began last week a unique structure and today we present a further development of this חקירה: Negation (ביטול) or temporary suspension? We will study the principle of יש כח ביד חכמים, as well as the principle of עוסק במצוה פטור מן המצוה. We will begin our study of תשלומין as it applies to both אונן and to עוסק בצרכי ציבור. We are focused on the definition of פטור: does it completely remove the Mitzva or simply postpone its implementation?
