May one eat and/or slice cakes or cookies that have letters or shapes on them on Shabbat thus destroying the letters? May one open and/or close a book that has letters on the side? We will study the fundamentals of מלאכת כתיבה in the sugya in Masechet & Hilchot Shabbat 104b. We've entitled the shiur: Contemporary Issues in מלאכת כתיבה.
