Description

Moving a utensil for the sake of something which is Muktza, like a mat to cover a beehive or a corpse in the sun. We will study the various methods of protecting the dead body by moving it out of the heat. This will raise the question of an indirect moving of Muktza known as טלטול מן הצד. At the end of the shiur we will study the Rav's insight into the principle of מוקצה לחצי שבת and the distinction of Tos' between טלטול and אכילה. This will be based on a sugya in ביצה which classifies Muktza as a דבר שיש לו מתירין. But how is Muktza different that חמץ which is not a דבר שיש לו מתירין since it was only prohibited from the get go for the seven days of Pesach. Why shouldn't the same logic apply to Muktza which was only prohibited for Shabos?
