Masechet & Hilchot Shabbat 38a & Siman #253: Penalty for one who left his pot on an open flame? We will review the difference between שכח where he was unintentional, and עבר, when he deliberately violated the Issur שהייה. This difference will apply when it was cooked going into Shabbat but the continuous process of cooking was beneficial. We will discuss the conditions necessary to permit חזרה, i.e. replacing the pot on the גרוף on Shabbat itself. In the sugya there are two versions of Abaye: is there a requirement of fulfilling two conditions, or one of the two would suffice?
