Derech HaLimud: Masechet Nedarim 2b: defining the difference between a Neder & a Shvuah. We begin our study of the fundamental difference between the Halacha In the חפצא and the Halacha in the גברא. The source in Shas, at least with regard to Issurim, is the sugya of Nedarim and Shvuot. We hope to reveal this sugya as the key to many other sugyot that are based on a parallel distinction and to appreciate the unique contribution of Reb Chaim Brisker in this regard.
