Description

Avraham interacts with Avimelech twice in this Parsha. Once in a story that is oddly similar to his experience in Mitzrayim and once to enter a treaty with Avimelech and establish Baer Sheva. What is the meaning of these interactions and why do they take place in this Parsha? As Avimelech is the head of the Plishtim, we take a journey through Tanach and explore the interactions between Benei Yisrael and the Plishtim over the course of history. This journey provides the context to answer these questions within our Parsha.
