Modern Jewish Religious Denominations This course will examine the origins and historical development of Orthodox, Reform (Liberal, Progressive), and Conservative (Neolog) Judaism in Germany, Austria, Hungary, England, and the United States in the 19th and 20th centuries. Special attention will be paid to interdenominational polemics and halakhic writings.
