For Masechet Shabbat 106a & Beitza 7b-8a we will study the concept of תקון אצל אחרים and its impact on a מלאכת קלקול. This will touch on the debate re: מלאכה שאינה צריכה לגופא and the question of מקלקל בחובל ומבעיר. We will address the following question based on Rashi: why does R' Shimon need the פטור of מקלקל since by definition it will always be a תקון אצל אחרים and therefore a מלאכה שאינה צריכה לגופא? Is it possible that the combination of these two פוטרים could lead to a היתר לכתחילה and remove the Issur Derabanan that generally applies to all פטורי שבת. We will see the שיטה מקובצת and the Biur Halacha of the Mishna Berura.
