Description

If the history of the Jewish people is destined to continue with Yitzchak, what is the purpose of Avraham Avinu giving birth to Yishmael? We explore how Yishmael draws out the negative elements of the middah of chessed from within Avraham and becomes the embodiment of the extremes of chessed. We also explore the historical role of Yishmael throughout history on a level of maaseh avot siman l'banim.
