For Masechet Niddah 14a we seek to investigate the question: Is there a possibility of תלייה במאכלת in the case of an inspection cloth (עד בדיקה)? Logically we would assume that when we are dealing with a טומאה דאורייתא, i.e. we suspect that she had a הרגשה but was unaware, we must not introduce תלייה which belongs to כתמים, i.e. טומאה דרבנן. However, the Gemorah's question indicates that there may be תלייה if she did a בדיקה and discovered a stain on the cloth. We will see Rashi, Rabenu Chananel and the Rashba on this sugya.
