    Is it possible to argue that another reason to permit the gambling in this case is because it does not fall under the category of asmachta at least as defined by Rami bar Chama because in this case, the person gambling is not convinced that he is going to win but rather is doing it as a safety net and really is prepared to have to shell out whatever money he owes when he loses the bet. It's even possible to claim that the person davka does not want to win which seems to be against the whole definition of what an asmachta is which would then permit gambling in this case at least according to Rami bar Cham and then the case could be made that it is permitted in the case of yishuvo shel olam also.
