Derech HaLimud: ישיר או עקיף, direct or indirect, is the inter-mediator an active agent or simply a bridge? Today's shiur will focus on the sugya of מישמוש נחלה, e.g. the grandson inherits his grandfather who died after his father had already died. We will study Reb Elchonon's 5 נפק"מ between two definitions: does the grandson inherit directly from his grandfather, or does the son bequeath to his son (the grandson) his rights in the ירושה? Towards the end of the shiur we will begin our discussion of the sugya of שחרור עבד thru כסף. And the sugya of דמי ולדות regarding the monetary rights of the father.
