Description

In Parshat Eiekv Moshe explains what it truly takes to live in the Land of Israel. The Jewish people have been experiencing the miracles of the dessert for forty years and now it is time to come into a very physical place. They are coming to a land where you sow, reap, work, bake, and build. How does one experience God while eating bread in the same way as one does while eating mann that fell from heaven? Moshe impresses upon us how imperative it is to see the miraculous in the mundane in a speech that is as strikingly relevant today as it was when Moshe first delivered it generations ago. (Part of HaMidrasha at QC, OU-JLIC's Torah learning program for women at Queens College.)
