One of the most complex topics in Judaism is understanding Divine Providence - the way in which God guides the world. In this shiur we open up the depths of this topic based on fundamental concepts from the Ramchal's critical work Daat Tevunot and by exploring stories in the lives of Yosef and the brothers as well as David HaMelech. We come to understand how this nuanced understanding of Divine Providence is the underlying theme of Parshat Vaetchanan and why the Torah is presenting to new levels of this critical concept specifically in our Parsha. We also explain how all of this relates to Moshe's tefillah at the opening of the Parsha. (Part of HaMidrasha at QC, OU-JLIC's Torah learning program for women at Queens College.)
