Parshat Devarim opens with a reexamination of Chet HaMeraglim, the Sin of the Spies. Why is this how we open the Sefer? Why do we read this Parsha every single year on Shabbat Chazon, the Shabbat before Tisha B'Av? We explore the deep problems that led to Chet HaMeraglim and the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash and how Sefer Devarim sets out to repair these these broken aspects of Klal Yisrael.
