Description

In this Parsha & Halacha shiur for Beshalach we will introduce the Issur Muktza. Rashi at the beginning of Masechet Beitza derives Muktza DeOraisa from a verse in our parsha. Any food that one eats on Shabos must have הכנה before Shabos. We will focus on the sugya of טלטול כלים which is clearly an Issur DeRabanan. This gezeira dates back to the time of Nechemya. Regarding this Gezeira we find permissibility in cases of צורך. A new category emerges in the case of a utensil that is precious and sensitive; the owner 'declares' that no one should use such a utensil and the כלי becomes muktza. Hence the category of מוקצה מחמת חסרון כיס. We would like to understand the underlying logic and the definition of this concept. What is included herein?
