Derech Halimud: חובת יחיד חובת ציבור This fundamental distinction is critical in the understanding of many Mitzvot and obligations. We will begin our study with the obligation of contributing for the building of the Mishkan. We will continue with many areas if Orach Chayim, Berachot, Tefilla, Kriyas HaTorah, Hallel, Megilla, Talmud Torah, and more. Often the obligation is on the individual but the Kiyum depends upon the Tzibbur.
