The constant renewal of Am Yisrael is what has kept us alive throughout the generations. It is the essence of Shabbat, Milah, and Rosh Chodesh, all of which the Greeks denied. This is the connection between the two miracles of Channukah, the war and the oil. We are made of Hitchadshut, on a national level and on an individual level.
