The sugya in Masechet Ketuvot 72a, codified in the Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah Siman 185:3, addresses the case of a wife who may be a Niddah but claims that the חכם paskened that she is טהורה & then she was contradicted by that very same Chochom.
