Masechet Ketuvot 13b: Is she believed to establish her daughter's status as a כשרה for Kehuna? What is crucial, her טענת ברי, or her ספק ספיקא? In the case of our Mishna, an unmarried girl who had a relationship with an unknown בועל, she has a ברי but only a single Safek. In אלמנת עיסה her claim is a טענת שמא since she cannot know, but she has a double Safek in her favor.
