For Masechet Bava Matzia 43b we will complete the third Perek with a study of the view of Rebby Akiva regarding how to determine the payment of the Shomer who was שולח יד. We will study the debate between Beis Shammai & Beis Hillel regarding a Shomer who thought to be שולח יד but has not yet done so. We will study the case of the Shomer who took for himself only part of the wine in the barrel leaving the balance behind. Is he liable for all the wine in the barrel? If so, why? We will begin our study of the 4th Perek with an introduction to the issue of an exchange of two currencies, Zahav & Kesef, which is the commodity and which is the currency being used as payment.
