For Masechet Metzia Bava 20b we will offer this short shiur to complete the 1st Perek. The sugya addresses the question: when does R' Yirmiya agree that the שובר in the hands of the lender is valid? Suppose the document was authenticated by the Beis Din. Or the witnesses signed on the document testify that the loan was indeed paid up? Or the receipt was given to a שליש, a third party, for safe deposit & the lender indicated his reliance on the third party & his trust in him? These are the cases addressed.
