This shiur for Masechet Niddah 16a is meant to serves as an introduction to the sugya of וסתאות, and the great debate as to whether the Torah itself recognizes the Chazaka that a woman will have a ראיית דם נדה at the moment of her וסת which has been established with three consecutive ראייות. Or is it only a Rabbinic stringency but the Torah itself does not deem this a reliable חזקה. The difference will be in the case that her שעת וסת passed and she made - or perhaps did not make - a בדיקה. Our goal in this shiur is to get an overview of the various opinions on this issue.
