Description

To complete Perek Meruba we will study the sugya on Daf 82b-83a which addresses the prohibition against raising swine and other non-Kosher animals; the prohibition regarding the study of Greek philosophy and the exception to this Issur; the severe prohibition regarding the raising of dangerous dogs; and the prohibition against the trapping of privately owned doves. We will learn about one of the most devastating chapters in Jewish History: the civil war between the two factions of the Chashmonaic dynasty that led to the Churban Beis HaMikdash.
