For Masechet Bava kamma 55b we offer an introduction to Perek HaKones, the 6th chapter of our Masechet. Our major topic is: various possible levels of שמירה for damages of Shen & Regel. The Mishna establishes that the minimal level is sufficient, i.e. שמירה פחותה. Does this Halacha apply to any מועד? Any animal that by nature damages? After all Rebby Meir requires a higher level of guarding an ox - Keren - both for Tam & Muad as well. This leads the sugya to establish that in 4 categories of damages a minimal level f watching is sufficient; Keren is not included on the list. We will discuss the sugya of moral obligation for damages that were indirect; Chiyuv Bey'day Shamayim. We will begin this sugya today & continue tomorrow.
