The sugya of Bava kamma 52a-b is a further study of two partners over a Bor: Who's responsible for the Bor? Did the 1st partner have the opportunity to replace his covering once he found out that his covering had "died"? In the main part of our study today we will address the question: how does one fulfill his obligation to guard the Bior? What if the heavy animals only appear from time to time? What if he was negligent vis-a-vis one occurrence but not vis-a-vis an unusual happening which was unforeseeable?
