For Masechet Bava Kamma 45a-45b we will study the four Shomrim & their respective levels of responsibility. But the shomrim are not only liable for the loss of the animal that they can no longer return to the owner; moreover they are responsible to guarantee that the animal will not damage others. In this context the shomrim replace the owner. But what levels of שמירה must be provided by the owner and the shomer for an ox, a Tam or a Muad? We will see the three and possibly four opinions in the Mishna & Gemora.
