We will begin with the Mishna on Bava Kamma 35a which formulates the fundamental principle of המוציא מחבירו, possession is nine tenths of the law. We will continue with the sugyas haGemara on 35b which will require an introduction to the concept of דררא דממונא, the principle which underlies the view of Sumchas that in a doubtful case in the sphere of monetary law we split the object of value.
