Description

We begin our study of the insights of the Rav, za"l, on various aspects of Krias HaTorah. Why must we call three men for aliyos? Is it because of Torah, Nevi'im, and Kesuvim? Or because of Kohanim, Levi'im, and Yisraelim? Is there a difference LeHalacha between these two approaches? We will address a second issue: why do we read the Megilos on the various Mpadom before the Torah? It seems to violate the principle of תדיר קודם since we read the Torah more frequently than the Megillos which are read only once a year? To answer this q' we will have to study the Issur of reading K'suvim on a Shabbos day because of ביטול בית המדרש. When does this Issur begin & end? Finally, we will study the Halacha that the reader & the Metargem must stand.
