For Masechet Ketuvot 8a we will study the laws of Simcha & Beracha for the first day, 7 days, 30 days, and 12 months of the marriage. This is relevant to the six special Berachot and there is a special stayus to the final Beracha 'asher bara', and the expression of gratitude added to the Zimun: SheHaSimcha BiMeono. We will point out the paradox of the striking similarity between the structure of the days of Simcha for the groom & bride and the laws of Avelut.
