Description

The hidden depth behind Tefilas Arvis being optional or obligatory (Berachos 26b), and why this dispute in particular between Rebbi Gamliel and Rebbi Yehoshua creates such a divide between the Chachomim. How this ties in to Rebbi Akiva's laughing at the site of the Beis HaMikdash (end of Makos), and why Rebbi Akiva from 'Bnei Brak' is chosen to host the Seder of these specific Tzadikim mentioned in the Hagaddah. A new understanding of how and why the Talmidim of Rebbi Akiva perished between Pesach and Shavuos and the significance of Rashbi and the light of Lag Baomer as a continuation of Rebbi Akiva's vision.

Why did Rav Shimon Bar Yochai instigate the Machlokes? His plan was that Rebbi Akiva would be appointed as Nasi in which case the Halacha would follow Rebbi Akiva and with this the Geula would be revealed right away. However Rebbi Akiva was overlooked, the Gemara says, due to his lack of Yichus, and Rebbi Elazar Ben Azarya is appointed. Yehoshua
