The first part of our study of Masechet Kiddushin 39a-39b, will focus on the status of Orlah & Kelaim in Chutz LaAretz. We will see polar opposites regarding Orlas Chutz LaAretz. Is it an Issur DeOraisa derived from הלכה למשה מסיני? Is it an Isssur Derabanan? We will see different categories of Kelaim: grafting two species of trees will be DeOraisa even in Chutz Laaretz. Whereas Kelaim of mixing seeds or planting vegetables in a vineyard might be permissible outside the Land. The latter half of our study will be dedicated to the Aggadeta regarding reward & punishment. Are we rewarded in this world or the next?
