For Masechet Kiddushin 24a-b we will define ראשי אברים, i.e. the permanent removing of a limb that is external. Which limbs - when severed by the master - cause the freedom of the Eved? The debate about the status of the tongue, is it an external organ? What about a blind eye that was detached by the master? What if the limb of a bird was removed as far as עולת העוף, קבלת טומאה?
