We continue our study of Masechet Chullin 98b. The Gemorah establishes that we cannot derive the laws of Bittul from the איל since this is an exception to the rule rather than the rule. The term is חידוש. What is the meaning of חידוש? Is this a special Heter in a case of מין במינו? Or is the special Heter the licence to cook Issur with Heter in order to create Bittul? Or perhaps the fact that in this case of זרוע באיל there is a Mitzva to be מבטל איסור. Can we derive any Halachos from זרוע באיל? Or shall we assume that whatever laws of Bittul derived from this parsha is merely an אסמכתא בעלמא?
