Description

The sugya in Kiddushin addresses a wide range of topics. I. Comparing the Eved Ivri to the Ama Ivruya, e.g. when do they obtain their freedom, is there a law of רציעה? Do the heirs inherit the אדון if he dies before the termination of the term of servitude? I. Who inherits a non-Jewish father? His non-Jewish children? His son the convert to Judaism? Does the convert inherit his father according to Torah law or only by virtue of Rabbinic law? If the latter, why did the Rabanan make this institution? III. When does a father lose his rights to sell his daughter as an Ama? Can he sell his daughter multiple times? Can he sell his daughter after he married her off? IV. Can בי"ד sell an Eved for a higher or lower price than the גניבה?
