For the blatt shiur on Masechet Kiddushin 11b-12b, we will study and additional explanation of the view of Beis Shamai requiring a 'dinar' as a minimum for Kesef Kiddushin, as well as the sugya whihc defines a פרוטה according to the view of Beis Hillel. Is the Peruta a specific value, one eight of the Issar, or is it the basic currency in any country at any time. We will discuss the principle of Shmuel: an object that is worth less than a Peruta here might be valued at a Peruta elsewhere.
