For Berachot 26a-b, we will offer an overview & an in-depth analysis of the sugya of תשלומין with the insights of the מנחת פרי. We will survey the basic Halachik principles of תפילת תשלומין addressing the question: when does it apply, and spend the bulk of the shiur on the issue of the relationship between the תשלומין and the Tefilla that was omitted , on the one hand, & the relationship to the obligatory Tefilla which he is davening now, on the other. If one forgot Mincha & adds a second Tefilla following Arvis, is that an obligatory Tefilla to replace the Mincha that he omitted, of is it a 2nd Tefillas Arvis, i.e. a תפילת רשות? We will analyze the Tzelach & the Rashash on this q' and study the various נפק"מ that depend upon this debate.
