Description

In the wake of the deaths of Nadav and Avihu, the Torah tells us that the Kohanim are not allowed to drink wine before serving in the Mishkan so that they can distinguish between kodesh and chol, tamei and tahor. We discuss the critical role of making distinctions with out daat as we strive for taharah and kedusha, and how on Purim none of these distinctions seem to apply as we are meant to drink to the point of not being able to distinguish at all! (Part of HaMidrasha at QC, OU-JLIC's Torah learning program for women at Queens College.)
