For our study of Yoreh De'ah siman #98 & the law that governs a mixture of 1 piece of dry Issue (e.g. a piece of non-kosher meat) with 2 pieces of kosher meat, we will explain the insights of the Rav as recorded in the Sefer שיעורי הרב. The main issue is how to understand the Rashba, codified by the Mechaber, that prohibits one person from eating all three pieces simultaneously. The Gra understands that the Rashba would enjoin a person from eating two of the three pieces together. Since the רוב won't help in this case, we cannot apply ביטול. The ש"ך applies ביטול even in this case. We will try to understand the Heter of the Ramah: he cooks all three pieces together and is allowed to eat the meat despite the general principle of חוזר וניעור.
