Description

In this shiur for Masechet Chulin 97a & Yoreh De'ah siman #105, we will establish the distinction between Chelev שמן & Gedi כחוש. We will be strict with regard to צלי and require 60x and assume that the piece of meat is שמן, nonetheless this only applies if the piece of meat is Neveyla, i.e. Issur. But if the meat is Heter that absorbed a Ta'am Issur (איסור מחמת בליעה), we can be lenient in cases of צלי או מליחה. We will study the Pri Megadim's three principles regarding רותח וצלי. The breakthrough here is the distinction between רותח and צלי, unbeknownst to us before the Pri Megadim. We will study the Beis Meir's q' on the Taz as well as the breakthrough understanding of the Chazol Ish. This insight may change our approach to milchiga cake
