The Mishna fails to mention the earliest time for Shachris? The Rosh explains. We will study the presentation of the Beis Yosef very carefully & analyze his original position re: the nature of Shachris between the 4th hour & Chatzos according to R' Yehuda, as well as his rejection of this position & his substitute position & the differences between the two. This will lead to a q' re: one who deliberately decided to delay Shachris til after the 4th hour, as well as a q' re: the half hour following Chatzos. The 2nd part of this shiur will analyze the q' re: one who omitted mincha: does he have Tashlumin & pray Arvis 2x? The Merkeves HaMishna will be very helpful here; there are 2 dimensions to Tefilla: Avos Tiknum & Keneged T'midim Tiknum.
