For Masechet Chulin 108b, we will address the case of salt that was saturated with דם that fell into a Taaroves, it is possible to apply Bitul to the salt. This despite the fact that salt is not subject to Bittul since it gives Taam into the cooking pot. The issue revolves around the principle of 'Chanan' and the two categories of Issur: Issur machmas Atzmo vs. Issur Machmas Biluah. Does the salt itself become Neveila, i.e. Gufo shel Issur?
