Description

We will contunue our study of Masechet Chulin 111b and analyze the debate between the Ramban & other Rishoning regarding how to understand Shmuel's Heter of נ"ט בר נ"ט. Is it that the 2nd Ta'am is not considered Ta'am, or rather that the 3rd Ta'am is not Ta'am? We will develop a thory that the difference between these two definitions is the case of חמץ בפסח which is אסור במשהו and does not require a full Ta'am. If the Heter of Shmuel is predicated upon טעם שלישי which is a weak Ta'am, one can argue that Chametz will be the exception since any Ta'am no matter how weak is prohibited. This would bear on the issue of Kashering a chametz pot before Pesach if the pot was used for Chametz on this very day.
