For our study of Masechet Berachot 20b-21a, we will cover two topics & set two goals: 1) analyzing the principle of שלא יהא כל העולם, i.e. that the בעל קרי must join the Tzibbur when the latter is reciting Kriyat Shema by doing the best he can do, namely, to think about the words of Torah; 2) to try to understand the Rambam's omission of the Mitzva of Birchat HaTorah from the counting of Taryag.
